The tiled public lavatories offer a hot shower, rare in the era of bath tubs   Each of the floor tiles were individually placed by the hands of a long forgotten craftsman who took pride in his detailed artistic work.   The ceramic tiled water closets were constructed with concrete floor and walls to prevent  cracking by  the moving car  

 

 
             
The hoppers were some of the first water conserving toilets using less than a quart per flush. (which until recently, dumped directly onto the tracks below)
